EA® Professionals Training Program

To be used to train child care professionals, preschool teachers, non-parental caregivers, and other professionals; professional using the program becomes certified as an EA Coach for 2 years)

Step 1

Prior to sending any payment, please contact us to first inquire about becoming an EA instructor and let us know about your educational experiences, current post, and the type of work you are planning using the program. Only after this communication should you send payment; in your written communication, please enclose a copy of a letter from the most senior person in your organization,on institutional letterhead endorsing your work in this area, and detail on a separate page your:

  1. educational background;
  2. current post; and
  3. for what purpose (research/what type, clinical/what type) you plan to be using the system.

Step 2

Request:

  • Emotional availability (EA) Professionals Curriculum 6 modules
  • 6 DVDs to accompany the training manual: Informational component on attachment and emotional availability
  • EA Checklist, packet of 10
  • License to use secure website and upload videos/technology fee
  • Distance/online supervision sessions (confidential; 3-4 hours With Zeynep Biringen, Ph.D. with uploaded videos onto secure website)

TOTAL (INCLUDES EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR CERTIFICATION FOR 2 YEARS; ALL COMPONENTS ARE NEEDED FOR CERTIFICATION AND FOR RESEARCH/PROGRAM EVALUATION, BUT A PROFESSIONAL CAN PURCHASE INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS TO BEGIN GAINING FAMILIARITY WITH THE SYSTEM). However, EA instructors need to first complete the EA Scales training, IN VIVO OR DISTANCE.
